Education & Training
Handbooks, online reprints and more...
LAL is dedicated to the furtherance of all aspects of education and training in laboratory animal science, with the aim of improving scientific quality and animal welfare. There is a focus on the 3Rs; Replacement, Reduction and Refinement.
LAL has a long tradition of sponsorship to help the important work of FELASA and its working groups. Many FELASA Working Group reports have been issued containing important guidelines. Other scientific organisations have also received subsidies for publishing important topics in laboratory animal science, making these materials freely available to the laboratory animal science community, also in other languages besides English.
LAL has also sponsored the translation of several guidelines from English into Spanish, German, Russian etc. The production of several handbooks have also been subsidised.
