Aims and scope of the special issue:
LAJ invites contributions from all educators and trainers for manuscripts related to developments in education, training with reference to the 3Rs and the laboratory animal science field.
This special issue is seeking submissions that report on new forward thinking/horizon scanning applications on the delivery of training, also drawing from other disciplines, as we believe this will be of most benefit to the LAS community.
The collection of papers will highlight the value of “thinking outside the box” when delivering training and education, thus advancing our standards of care and working relationships with laboratory animals and models.
We invite to submit manuscripts related to the below-mentioned topics:
– Management of assessments and delivering learning outcomes
– Non-traditional approaches to laboratory animal science and 3Rs education
– Promoting participant and educator acceptance of novel educational approaches
– Use of virtual technology and AI systems
– Livestock training and education – overcoming unique challenges of working with larger animals
– Welfare of animals used in research and teaching
Proposals for manuscripts are invited until 01/01/2022.
